Workforce Housing Solutions Summit: How is Deschutes County’s housing crisis keeping our community and our economy from reaching its full potential? What would your most creative solution to this crisis look like?

Shout out to Michael Nelson and a team of eight others from the Leadership Bend Class of 2023 who organized and hosted a 75-person, private invite conference to address solutions to the workforce housing issue in Deschutes County. Housing industry professionals, city & state government officials, local business owners, manufacturers, builders, and other community members partnered with The Missing Middle Housing Fund to address these issues in tangible and meaningful ways.

These problem-solvers from across industry sectors focused on developing potential solutions to build the extensive workforce housing that Deschutes County needs. The event took place on June 6, 2023, at Wille Hall, Coats Campus Center, COCC’s Bend Campus.
