Lummi Nation Solar + Storage Feasibility Study and Owner Rep Services

Säzän Group provided ongoing support for solar projects at five sites. These services started with a comprehensive feasibility study of eight buildings, followed by selection of five as priority sites for pre-design work. The prioritized facilities had solar PV arrays ranging from 19.2kW to 285kW, and battery energy storage systems to reduce energy costs, provide disaster resilience, and build energy sovereignty.
Säzän Group assisted with winning nearly $5 million in grants to construct the systems, as well as supported the Tribe as their owner’s representatives for the battery installation, which includes coordinating the installation, and keeping the project on budget and schedule. Successful results included utilizing American Made solar modules and employing several Tribal members, as well as assisting a Northwest Indian College intern receive solar training to become certified.
