Thoughtful engineering and sustainable design help create a lasting community resource for vulnerable children and families.

The Child Crisis Arizona Center for Child & Family Wellness was designed as a net-zero, high-efficiency building to qualify as a Living Building Challenge project. Säzän Group provided MEP services for the two-story, 38,000 SF facility and associated site improvements, as well as support for LEED Platinum certification.

The facility includes administrative offices, a donation and volunteer center, and a centralized kitchen for staff and volunteer meals. Site amenities include an interior courtyard, covered parking, electric vehicle charging stations, and solar collection canopies.

The Center offers foster care and adoption services, family education, and art, dance, and music therapy programs for low-income children and families.
