Modernized building systems help create a safer, more comfortable, and supportive community for veterans and at-risk residents.

Originally built in 1997, Central Park Place sits on the Veterans Affairs Campus in Vancouver, Washington and includes 126 studio units. It provides supportive housing for veterans and other at-risk residents experiencing addiction and mental health challenges. Starting in 2019, the four-story, 40,000 SF building underwent major improvements to better serve residents and service providers.

Säzän Group provided MEP and related services for building renovations, partial additions, and upgrades to individual units and common areas. Resident amenities include a spacious community room with a fireplace and kitchen, shared patios, and onsite laundry. Säzän Group provided a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) HVAC system retrofit of the entire building, fire protection design-build support, energy modeling, and lighting design. The project was designed to meet ESDS 3.0 criteria.
