Clackamas Fire District
New Fleet & Logistics Facility
Säzän provided Electrical and Mechanical engineering for the design of a new 20,000 SF Fleet and Logistics facility for an Internationally Accredited Fire Agency, Clackamas Fire Protection District in Oregon.
The new facility has a fleet maintenance area, exterior wash bay, shared office spaces, parking areas, vehicle storage and fuel island. Careful coordination was taken with Fire District personnel to identify what equipment would be relocated from the existing facility and what equipment would need to be replaced with new equipment for the new facility.
Mechanical scope includes:
HVAC, plumbing design for domestic cold water and hot water supply, sanitary sewer, vent piping and coordination with FLS.
Electrical scope includes:
Power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm, IT infrastructure design, and control, integration with HVAC systems.
Project challenges overcome include incorporating a variety of different ventilation and piping systems including a fluid piping system, oil room ventilation, and coordination with fire life safety (FLS).
