Gaurav, our Building Performance Practice Leader, brings a passion for integrated design, sustainability, and high-performance buildings to the forefront of his work. With 15+ years of experience in energy modeling and building performance analysis, Gaurav's specialties include building energy simulation, Zero Net Energy/carbon analysis, renewable energy systems, energy and life cycle cost analysis, natural ventilation analysis, thermal comfort analysis, solar shading, daylighting analysis, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).

Gaurav's background in architecture and engineering makes him an asset to multidisciplinary building design teams, where he uses building energy simulation and assessment tools to inform design and operational decisions. He ensures that clients clearly understand the impact of design strategies on building performance, indoor air quality, and user experience.

Gaurav is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP), LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP BD+C), and International Associate AIA (Int. Assoc. AIA). He earned his Master of Science in Building Design with a Concentration in Energy Performance and Climate Responsive Architecture from Arizona State University and his degree in Architecture from TVB School of Habitat Studies in New Delhi, India. Gaurav is the co-chair of the AIA Seattle Member Engagement Committee (MemGage) and the former co-chair of the AIA Seattle Committee on the Environment (COTE). He is a Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). His dedication to sustainability and building performance is evident in everything he does.
