Mark Gardner Named Managing Principal

Säzän Group is excited to announce Mark Garnder has been named Managing Principal of the Seattle office. Mark joined Säzän Group in 2025 as Director of Engineering, and his promotion reflects his leadership, commitment to excellence, and significant contributions to the growth of the Seattle office. Known for his strong communication skills, he effectively bridges owners, design, and construction teams. His leadership is characterized by a strong commitment to mentorship and staff development, aligning Säzän Group’s work closely with client outcomes.

Mark brings more than 25 years of engineering experience with a national, Seattle‑based design‑build firm, followed by two years (2023–2025) as Senior Operations Manager in the same company’s Service Division, where he increased service revenue, improved margins, and reduced risk.

Passionate about practical, high‑performance design, Mark focuses on bridging the gap between engineering theory and real‑world construction. With a teacher’s heart, he challenges and supports his teams to grow both professionally and personally.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Washington and Oregon, a Certified Energy Manager, and a LEED AP BD+C.
