Leadership Bend Class of 2023 Graduates

At Säzän Group, we are firmly committed to the communities we live, work, and play in, and we proudly support our employees in their actions toward betterment. Michael Nelson, our Central Oregon Office Lead, recently completed a nine-month program called Leadership Bend through the Bend Chamber.

Leadership Bend is a community leadership development program designed to identify, educate, train, and connect willing and committed citizens to leadership roles in our community. Leadership Bend alums become community trustees; they know change and opportunity happen through action, and the list of accomplishments of Leadership Bend alums is long. Michael benefited from learning about servant leadership topics designed to enhance interpersonal and leadership skills and ways to make an impact through a class capstone project. His project resulted in the creation of The Central Oregon Workforce Housing Summit, which brought together 75 invited members of the community to discuss and promote strategies to support folks finding affordable housing in Bend.
