Earth Day 2023

This year’s Earth Day theme, “Invest in Our Planet,” emphasizes the need to allocate our time, resources, and energy toward finding solutions to solving climate change and environmental issues. At Säzän Group, we strive to invest in the communities we serve and commemorate Earth Day by reflecting on how recent grant applications we supported led to meaningful outcomes in Tribal communities.

Our team recently completed the Lummi Nation’s new Health and Wellness Center, which received a grant award for its solar array and its ties into the microgrid feasibility study we prepared with the Tribe and community members. We are also proud to have helped the Northwest Indian College (NWIC) with a similar energy resilience study, which included student involvement to help train the future workforce. These partnerships and investments in educational programs, community engagement, and public outreach are bringing together businesses, individuals, and communities to work toward protecting our planet.
