Block 300 Fan Wall Retrofit Underway

Another fan wall retrofit is underway at the Block 300 building, a 400,000 SF critical facility in Portland. Fans recently arrived and were hoisted onto the roof by Omega Morgan. Säzän Group worked closely with JHKelley, Air Treatment Corporation, and XNRGY to provide Block 300 and JLL a fan wall retrofit solution to their existing air handlers.

The facility is critical as it is the location of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. The design incorporated phasing to ensure the building maintained operation. Additionally, the retrofit must take place during the correct weather conditions to ensure low-load on the building.
