Säzän is providing Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire Protection Engineering for an addition and renovations to the existing John Jacob Astor Elementary School. Additional Services include Lighting Design, Building Technologies System Design, Energy Consulting and Commissioning.

Programs include:
• Conversion of an old auxiliary gym to multi-purpose room/cafeteria with food service kitchen
• Conversion of existing storage/classroom space under gym to indoor/outdoor covered play space
• Conversion of cafeteria and kitchen into classrooms, plus addition of restrooms
• Construct new public restrooms adjacent to main gymnasium
• Upgrade building structure and envelope
• Upgrades to the staff work room and lounge areas

Building System Upgrades include:
• Replacing boilers and hot water heaters
• Replacing HVAC controls
• Replacing intercom/clock/phone systems
• Replacing security system
• Replacing fire alarm system
• Upgrading the electrical distribution system and providing additional power outlets
