Hotel Indigo and Luxury Condominiums
Säzän Group provided full engineering services for a new luxury development on Vancouver’s waterfront. Designed as two connected buildings, Hotel Indigo and Condominiums serves both condo owners and hotel guests. Building One is a 12-story, 40-unit condominium building with 1st floor retail, a full lobby with lounge areas, and swimming pool. Building Two is the 8-story Hotel Indigo with 130 hotel rooms, 1st-floor restaurant, retail spaces, a large second-floor ballroom. A full basement garage accommodates building services and guest and resident parking.
The lighting systems were deliberately designed and luminaries were carefully selected by Säzän to enhance the hotel’s neighborhood story. Custom Installations in feature areas of the hotel help to create an exciting, fresh, welcoming environment: a fiber optic laced tree root installation, pendant mounted cedar planks wrapped with hanging Edison bulbs, and sparkling glass bulbs suspended from a soaring atrium ceiling.
Energy modeling for LEED Certification was also part of Säzän Group’s services on the project.
"Creating this opportunity with Kirkland Development is the right fit for the new, modernized Vancouver Waterfront. We knew from the beginning that this is exactly the kind of boutique hotel that would fit well with the huge array of amenities, all of which take advantage of the beautiful river and new park."
