High-Tech Office Tenant Improvements
Designed by Frank Gehry, these high tech offices on Lake Union in Seattle has an open layout that fosters the transparent culture that characterizes the organization. Säzän provided mechanical, electrical, and technology engineering services within the new 10-story office building.
Mechanical engineering met stringent City of Seattle energy codes. The design included variable air volume HVAC, computer room cooling, commercial kitchen equipment hoods and plumbing, and HVAC duct acoustic noise dampening. Working closely with the project’s acoustical consultant and the architect, Säzän met the owner’s strict requirements for acoustic privacy.
The electrical design included normal and emergency power, an arc flash study, interior and exterior lighting, audio/video, and fire alarm systems. The new offices include collaborative work areas, breakout and conference rooms, large assembly spaces, kitchen and dining facilities, and large outdoor heated decks. This fast track project had design and construction proceeding concurrently to meet the tenant’s aggressive move in schedule.
